I am Samantha Lo, the Principal Lawyer and founder of Alteris Legal.

My journey in law has taken me through mid-tier, boutique, and in-house environments, each shaping the way I approach legal practice today. These experiences led me to establish Alteris Legal, a practice focused on providing clear, practical advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.

I have advised businesses, investors and private clients across a range of property, commercial and private client matters, including acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, property development, foreign investment and FIRB matters, as well as Wills and Estates.

I have worked on significant transactions, including a $41 million Melbourne CBD commercial property acquisition and a $38 million industrial and logistics property acquisition for a global shipping company. My experience also includes major CBD property development, national commercial leasing portfolios and business sale and acquisition transactions.

Working with different clients and on different sides of transactions has given me a practical understanding of how deals work in real life, not just on paper. I bring that experience into my advice, focusing on what clients are trying to achieve and helping them make clear, confident decisions.

Outside of law, I enjoy exploring Melbourne’s food scene and discovering new places to eat. To balance my love for good food and the demands of legal practice, you will often find me on a reformer Pilates bed.
